High Availability - 2 Data Centers

Customer Requirements

Internet sites are mission critical for a customer. All systems require live mirroring in a hot-failover operation. Only limited bandwidth is necessary between both sites. Uptime and high availability requirements justify higher costs for data replication.

Conventional Solution

The complete server and network infrastructure will be set up in different data centers (on demand: run by different data center infrastructure operators) in the metropolitan areas of Frankfurt or Amsterdam. Communication between both sites will be achieved by VLANs or dedicated wavelenghts of the CWDM city ring. An independent internet uplink will be provided at each data center.

Virtual Data Center (VDC) Solution

This szenario is not suitable for our standard VDC products. However, significant savings in terms of hardware and operating costs can be achieved by using dedicated VDC products or cloud computing techniques. Please contact us!
